Xylotrechus namanganensis, a species of Central-Asian steppes and semideserts, has been described from Namangan environs (Uzbekistan) as Clytus (Xylotrechus) namaganensis by Lucas Friedrich Heyden in 1885 [❖].
Body length: 10 - 20 mm Life cycle: 1 - 2 years Adults in: April - July Host plant: polyphagous in deciduous trees (Populus, Eleagnus, Armeniaca, Salix, Juglans etc.) Distribution: Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, NW China (Xinjiang)
Depicted beetle were collected in: ♂ - Aşgabat city environs (Turkmenistan) on June 7, 1989; ♀ - Aman-Kutan (Omonqo'ton/Омонқўтон) hamlet environs (40 km S Samarqand, Urgut district, Samarqand Region, Uzbekistan) on April 24, 1978.Collected by Marek Kafka nad Jiří Lorenc
