Xenopachys matthiesseni, a rare species known from Iran and Afghanistan, has been described from Shiraz environs (Iran) as Dissopachys Matthiesseni by Edmund Reitter in 1907 [★].
Body length: 30 - 55 mm Life cycle: 2 - 3 years (?) Adults in: May - July Host plant: Prunus spp. Distribution: Iran, Afghanistan
The depicted female 1 and living beetles were collected 11 km west of Dasht-e Arzhan (دشت ارژن) village (Arzhan district, Shiraz county, Fars province, Iran) on April 22, 2002. Female 2 was collected 10 km south-west of Dorūd (دورود) (N33°26′ E49°00′; 1430 m a.s.l., Dorud county, Lorestan province, Iran) on July 9, 2004.Collected by Patr Kabátek and Martin Rejzek
