In Europe Trinia glauca (Apiaceae) serves as host plant of Phytoecia (Musaria) rubropunctata (Goeze, 1777). This fact was probably firstly discovered by gifted Italian entomologist Carlo Sturani (1938-1975), but published only six years after his tragic death [❖].

Authors of this site also collected on this plant two sister species of Phytoecia rubropunctata - Phytoecia (Musaria) cephalotes Küster, 1846 and Phytoecia (Musaria) argus (Frölich, 1793). So, Trinia glauca seems to be an ideal host plant for several rare European Musaria species...
