Stenocorus vittatus, a species occuring in Kazakhstan and NW China, has been described by Gotthelf Fischer Von Waldheim in 1842 [✧].
Species' larval biology is unknown, but the mass abundance of adults on mountain meadows with the absolute absence of shrubs and trees suggests a connection between the larvae and
the roots of herbaceous plants. Adults, active in June and July (peak in the first half of June), are diurnal and anthophilous [❖].
