Stenocorus heterocerus, a species occuring in South Turkey and Syria, has been described from Bolkar Mts. (Bolghar Dagh, South Turkey) as Toxotus heterocerus by Ludwig Ganglbauer in 1882 [✮].
Body length: 11 - 18 mm Life cycle: 2 - 3 years [?] Adults in: June - July Host plant: Quercus spp. Distribution: Turkey, Near East
The depicted beetles were beaten from blossoming Christ's thorn (Paliurus spina-christi, Rhamnaceae) in Avgadi environs (800-1100 m a.s.l., 35 km N of Erdemli, Mersin province, South Turkey) on June 16-20, 1996.Collected by Michal Hoskovec
