Stenocorus amurensis, a species known from Far East, has been described from East Siberia as Toxotus amurensis by Gustav Kraatz in 1879 [▽]. The species, which is close to European Stenocorus (Stenocorus) meridianus (Linnaeus, 1758), has also similar bionomy. Larvae of this broadly polyphagous species develop under bark of roots of dead deciduous trees. Pupation in pupal cells in soil close to roots after third winter of larval development. Adults, active from early June to end of July, are typical flowers vistors [❖].
