Ropalopus sculpturatus, a very rare and not well known endemic species to Turkey, has been described from Tokat (Turkey) as Ropalopus clavipes v. sculpturatus by Maurice Pic in 1931 [❖]. Into species rank it was elevated by Gianfranco Sama in 1992 [▽].

Body length:12 - 20 mm
Life cycle:2 - 3 years [?]
Adults in:June - August
Host plant:unknown, but very likely polyphagous in deciduos trees
Distribution:an endemic species to Turkey
