This subspecies of Purpuricenus interscapillatus is known from the Western ridge of Toros Mountains in Southern Anatolia, and from Cyprus [❖].

The depicted beetle was collected in Iҫmeler environs (N36°48′15″ E28°13′12″; Marmaris district, Muğla province, Aegean Region, Turkey) on May 9, 2018.
