Pilemia moreana, a rare endemic species to Peloponnese (Greece), has been described from Nauplion environs as Phytœcia (Rubrophytœcia) moreana by Stephan Breuning in 1943 [✩]. The taxon status and genus/subgenus status changed during the following decades, the taxon was even described again as Phytoecia hladilorum [✮]. It is currently considered a separate species again [❖].

Body length:	7 - 11 mm
Life cycle:	1 year
Adults in:	May - June
Host plant:	Lamiaceae (probably Phlomis and Stachys)
Distribution:	an endemic species to Peloponnese (Greece)

The depicted living beetle was collected in Daras (Δάρας) environs (Levidi minicipal unit, Tripoli, Arcadia regional unit, Peloponnese, Greece) on May 26, 2021.
