Pidonia debilis, a species occuring in Russian Far East, China, and Korea, has been described from East Siberia as Grammoptera debilis
by Gustav Kraatz in 1879 [▽]. P. debilis larvae develop under the bark of thin branches (up to 4 cm in diameter) of dead of freshly fallen deciduous trees.
Mature larvae leave wood and pupate in pupal cells created in soil. Adults, active from June to August, are diurnal and belong among the most common flower visitors
(Rosaceae, Apiaceae, Syringa) in Far East deciduous forests [✧][❖].
