Phytoecia minuta, a rare species known from Turkey and Jordan, has been described from South Anatolia (Hatay province, Turkey) by Maurice Pic in 1891 [▽]. Mikhail Danilevsky included this species in the newly established Phytoecia-subgenus Paracoptosia in 2017 [❖].

Body length:	5.5 - 9 mm
Life cycle:	1 year
Adults in:	April - June
Host plant:	Boraginaceae [?]
Distribution:	Jordan, Turkey

The depicted beetle was collected in: ♂ - Rabba (الربة) environs (N31°14.7′ E35°42.5′; 1000 m a.s.l., Karak governorate, Jordan) on April 27, 2006; ♀ - Arslanköy environs (Toroslar district, Mersin province, Turkey) on May 27-28, 1995.
