Phytoecia affinis tuerki, a subspecies occuring in Bulgaria, Turkey and Syria, has been described from Brussa (Bursa porovince, Turkey) as Phytoecia Türki by Ludwig Ganglbauer in 1884 [▽].
Body length: 10 - 16 mm Life cycle: 1 year Adults in: May - June Host plant: oligophagous in Apiaceae (Chaerophyllum, Pastinacia, Bupleurum, Imperatoria etc.) Distribution: Bulgaria, Syria, Turkey
Depicted beetles were collected in Ropotamo reserve (13 m a.s.l., N42°18′06″ E27°43′44″, SE Bulgaria) on June 10-20, 2010.Collected by A.Šíma and J.Kadlec

Lateral view of Phytoecia (Musaria) affinis tuerki Ganglbauer, 1883 [P(M)AT] and Phytoecia (Musaria) affinis affinis (Harrer, 1784) [P(M)AA] clearly shows differences of both subspecies in coloration.
