Parmena unifasciata is polyphagous in deciduous trees and various herbs, larvae feed in tree twigs and stalks of herbaceous plants (e.g.Euphorbia). Adults, which emerge from spring to autumn, are crepuscular/nocturnal and can be found on the host plants.

Depicted mounted beetles were reared from larvae collected in: ♂ Terme environs (Vallio Terme, Brescia province, Lombardy, Italy) on May 5, 2011; ♀ Pizzo environs (Vibo Valentia province, Calabria, Italy) on May 29, 2011. The living secimen was photographed in Durmitor Mts. (Montenegro) in June 2014.Collected by Milan Šárovec
