Parmena meregallii, a species with relatively small area of occurence in Catalonia and Pyrénées-Orientales, has been described as Parmena balteus meregallii by Gianfranco Sama in 1984 [❖]. Into species rank it was elevated by the same author in 1992 [✧].
Body length: 4 - 6 mm Life cycle: 1 - 2 years Adults in: adults hatch in March and as in other Parmena live for many months Host plant: Helleborus, Hedera helix, Ficus carica, Pinus, Malus Distribution: central and NE Spain and SW France
