This tiny Cerambycid seems to occur naturally only in South Europe, records from Central, Western and North Europe are probably based on introduced specimens (mostly with wickerwork articles). Larvae feed first under bark, later in the wood of thin branches and twigs in 2 year life-cycle. Pupation in spring in the wood.

Host plant:	polyphagous in many taxa of deciduous trees (Castanea, Ficus, Ulmus, Juglans, Quercus, Amygdalus, Corylus, Salix, Pistacia, Robinia...)

The depicted mounted beetle was reared from larva feeding in Amygdalus twig found in Senj (47 m a.s.l., Lika-Senj county, Croatia) on May 24, 2014.
