In Syria Mallosia imperatrix imperatrix develops in Ferula hermonis Boissier (Apiaceae) [Rejzek et al.; ❖].

Body length:	18 - 43 mm
Life cycle:	1 year
Adults in:	May - June
Host plant:	Ferula spp. and Prangos spp. (Apiaceae)
Distribution:	Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria [✧]

The depicted beetles were collected in Bludan NW Damascus (Anti-Lebanon Mts., Syria).
