Leptorhabdium nitidum, a very rare species occuring only in a relatively small part on Balcan peninsula (Northern Greece, North Macedonia), has been described from Kičevo (Кичево) environs (North Macedonia) by Carolus Holzschuh in 1974 [▽].

Body length:10 - 15 mm
Life cycle:2 - 3 years
Adults in:May - June
Host plant:polyphagous in decidudous trees
Distribution:Northern Greece, North Macedonia


The depicted beetles were collected and photographed on flowers in Pindus Mts. (Greece) in June 2008 / May 2013.
