The depicted mounted male beetle was beaten from a blossoming Christ's thorn (Paliurus spina-christi) near Erdemli (Mersin province, Turkey) on June 29, 1997.
The living female beetle was photographed on flowers near Jermuk (Jermuk municipality, Vayots Dzor province, East Armenia) on June 14, 2012.
