Iberodorcadion graellsii, an endemic species occuring in Spain, has been described from Madrid environs as Dorcadion graellsii by Mariano de la Paz Graëlls y de la Agüera in 1858 [❖]. Its subspecies cinereum, known from Sierra de Guadarrama, was described from Robregordo (Community of Madrid) as Dorcadion Graellsi cinereum by Manuel Martínez de la Escalera in 1901 [✧].
Body length: 10 - 14 mm Life cycle: 1 year Adults in: April - June Host plant: roots and basal stem parts of Poaceae Distribution: an endemic taxon to Sierra de Guadarrama (communities of Madrid and Castilla & León; Spain)
