Grammoptera merkli, an endemic species to Turkey, has been described by Johann Frivaldszky in 1884 [❖].

Body length:4 - 7 mm
Life cycle:1 - 2 years
Adults in:April - June
Host plant:polyphagous in fungi infested branches of deciduous trees (e.g. Quercus)
Distribution:an endemic species to Turkey


The depicted male beetle was collected in Göynük environs (Kemer region, Antalya province, Turkey) on April 16, 2015. The living female was photographed in Çıralı environs (Kemer region, Antalya province, Turkey) on April 10, 2023.
