Exocentrus lusitanus is a common species distributed in Europe (continental part) and the West of the European part of the former Soviet Union. It develops in broadleaf trees, mainly in lime (Tilia), only occasionally in hazel (Corylus). Larvae feed under bark and in the wood of dead, dry branches and twigs [❖].
Body length: 3.5 - 6 mm Life cycle: 2 years Adults in: May - August Host plant: lime (Tilia), only occasionally in hazel (Corylus) Distribution: Europe, Western Russia
