Acmaeops angusticollis, a common species of Siberian taiga forests, extends on the western edge of its distribution area as the rarity to Poland (Białowieża Forest) and Belarus. However, it can be said that A. angusticollis is a very rare and sporadically recorded species west of the Urals, with a center of occurrence in the Northeast Eurasia. The larvae develop under the bark of stems and branches of dead conifers (mostly in Pinus spp., rarely in spruce Picea abies). Before pupation, the larva makes a pupal cell in the wood under the bark, life cycle is at least 2 years. Adults, diurnal and anthophilous, are active from June to August [▽].
