Enaretta samai, an interesting species endemic to Arabian peninsula, has been described from beetles collected in Saudi Arabia and Oman by Pierpaolo Rapuzzi and Hathal al Dhafer in 2024 [▽]. Specimens of E. samai from Arabian peninsula were often misidentified as broadly distributed sister taxon Enaretta caudata (Fåhraeus, 1872) [▽]. Larval development reported in Vachellia sp., adults are nocturnal and can be attracted to light traps.

The depicted beetles (paratypes) were collected in Al Mughsail (المغسيل) environs (N16°51′45″ E53°43′18″; 115 m a.s.l,. Jabal al Qamar, Dhofar governorate, Oman) on September 26, 2011.
