Dorcadion lativittis, a striking Dorcadion-species distributed in East Kazakhstan and Xīnjiāng province of China, has been described
from Tarbagatai Mts. (East Kazakhstan) by Gustav Kraatz in 1878 [✯]. Species occurs in clay semi-deserts, valleys and piedmonts under Manrak and Saur mountain ranges with sparse grass vegetation.
D. lativittis larvae feed on roots of various grass species (Poaceae). Adults feed on above-ground parts of the same host plants [✧].
