Dorcadion klavdiae, a rare endemic species to Georgia, has been described from Gori environs by Mikhail Danilevsky in 1992 [❖]. D. klavdiae. Occurrence of this interesting species is limited to only one known population near the town of Gori.

Body length:17 - 21 mm
Life cycle:1 year
Adults in:April - May
Host plant:roots of herbaceous plants and grass
Distribution:an endemic species to Georgia (Gori environs)


The depicted male beetle was collected in Gori environs (800 m a.s.l., Shida Kartli region, Georgia) on April 15, 2015.
