Dorcadion glaucum, an endemic species to West Iran (Azarbaijan-e Sharqi province), has been described from "Transcaucaisa" by Franz Faldermann in 1837 [❖].
Its subspecies D. glaucum murzinianum occuring in the high western area of the Karasu River basin (Babak Castle environs) has been described by Maxim A. Lazarev in
2015. This taxon is characterized by very dense pronotal punctation, poor development of black elytral areas and presence of glabrous form in females [✮].
