Crossotus vagepictus, a representative of African entomofauna extending in the north of its distribution range to the Arabian Peninsula [✮], has been described from Somalia as Dichostates vagepictus by Léon Marc Herminie Fairmaire in 1886 [✧].
Body length: 8.5 - 13 mm Life cycle: 2 - 3 years Adults in: almost whole year, depends on region Host plant: Vachellia spp. (= former Acacia) Distribution: Yemen, Africa (Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Niger, Somalia, Sudan)
