Clytus rhamni rhamni, a nominotypical subspecies occuring in South-East Europe, Turkey and Near East, has been described from Rijeka environs (Croatia) by
Ernst Friedrich Germar in 1817 [❖]. C. rhamni (all subspecies) is polyphagous on deciduous trees (Quercus, Castanea, Ulmus, Ficus, Prunus,
Pyrus, Padus, Rhamnus, Pistacia, Paliurus, Pistacia, etc.). Larvae feed in the dead wood of branches and twigs of small diameter.
Adults, active from May to August, are diurnal and anthophilous [✧].

was photographed in Katafigio Agrias Zois Kampos (Καταφύγιο Άγριας Ζωής Κάμπος) park (Karyes environs, Sparta municipality, Laconia, Peloponnese, Greece) on May 28, 2021.
