Chlorophorus sartor, a widespread Euro-Turanian thermophilic species, has been described as Cerambyx sartor from Northern Italy by Otto Friedrich Müller in 1766 [✩]. Ch. sartor Larvae develop in dead branches of many broadleaf trees and bushes, pupation occurs in wood in early spring. Life-cycle two years. Adults, active from May to early September, are diurnal and anthophilous (common on Apiaceae) [❖].

Distribution:Europe except North, Caucasus, Turkey, Near East, Iran
