Chlorophorus gratiosus sparsus, a species with relatively limited area of occurence in the South-East Mediterranean (Syria, South Turkey, Rhodos), has been described
from Adalia (Antalya, South Turkey) as Clytus (Clytanthus) sparsus by Edmund Reitter in 1884 [▽]. The biology of the species is not sufficiently known, the
nominate subspecies was reared from the wood of dead Quercus (Lebanon and Turkey) and Paliurus (Turkey). Adults are flowers visitors [✧].
