Chlorophorus adelii, a rare species endemic to Iran, has been described from South Iran by Carolus Holzschuh in 1974 [❖].

Body length:7 - 12 mm
Life cycle:unknown but probably 1 - 2 years
Adults in:June - July
Host plant:polyphagous in deciduous trees
Distribution:a species endemic to Iran


The depicted beetles were collected in Khorramābād (خرم‌آباد) environs (1500-1650 m a.s.l., Lorestan province, NW Iran) on May 24, 2017.
