in 1933 [▽]. In Russian Far East Ch. zaitzevi inhabits deciduous forests of Primorsky krai. Larvae start development in living thin twigs (3 - 5 mm diameter) of maples
(Acer pictum, Acer mono, Acer mandschuricum), later feed in thicker branches. Life cycle 3 years. Adult beetles are active in July and August [✧].
