Agapanthia (Homoblephara) korostelevi, a sister species of European Agapanthia (Homoblephara) maculicornis (Gyllenhal, 1817) occuring in Armenia and Azerbaijan, has been firstly described without details by Mikhail Danilevsky in 1985 [❖]. The 3 years delayed full description was eventually published in 1987 [▽].

The depicted beetles were collected on Scorzonera sp. on slopes of Mt. Kotutsar (N39°58′32″ E44°50′33″; 1300-2046 m a.s.l., 7 km NE Urtsadzor, Ararat Province, Armenia) on June 5, 2013.Collected by D.Navrátil
