Acanthocinus hispanicus, an endemic Spanish species described by Gianfanco Sama and Peter Schurmann in 1979 [❖], is very close to
Acanthocinus henschi, but different from it in several characters: a
long rib missing on the base of the elytrae, denser and lighter pubescence of the whole body or more pronounced protuberances on the disc of the pronotus.
